Brief Description

Ready to put some incredible work experience on your resume? This Security Engineer Intern will be responsible for testing various software applications for security vulnerabilities for Vivacity Tech.

This is an unpaid, fully remote internship for college credit. You must be an active college student in CO, IL, ID, MN, NC, WA, UT, TX, FL or SC to participate in the internship. Starting January 8th 2026, this internship will be 14 weeks long and will require 20 hours a week.

If hired as a Security Engineer Intern, you will...

Research and document how to perform security testing in a web application
Document security processes that the applications will/should use
Create a comprehensive security testing plan that should be executed on a regular basis
Work closely with a mentor
Examine the applications and find security vulnerabilities

What Excellent Skills and Abilities Will You Possess?

Experience with penetration testing and an interest in software security
The ability to work independently and to research problems and solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Experience with agile software development

What Education & Experience Levels Are We Looking For?

High school diploma required
Currently studying in a technical field
