Job Specifications

Title: DevSecOps Security Analyst

Type (Contract, C2H, Perm): Contract - 6 months, possible extension

Location: Toronto, ON, in the office on Tuesdays and every 2nd Friday (5x per month)

Shift/Core Hours: 37.5

Compensation: $50-$55/hour

Interview Process: 2 Rounds (1- Virtual and 1-In-Person)

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Work with various development teams
Working with various CI/CD tools
Write automation scripts for security and DevOps tasks
Incident handling experience, this is collaborative work with DevOps teams, there is triaging work and figuring out what’s needed to integrate to the tool, how to integrate tools with them.

Must-haves/key skills needed:

3-4 years of working knowledge of DevOps experience
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx, Fortify)
Strong scripting or automation background (e.g., Python, Bash)
Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and secure coding practices
Ability to collaborate with development and security teams
Experience with integration tools on DevOps pipelines (any tool)

Pluses/education/certifications:

Networking experience - Firewalls, operating system work, work with linux, windows, mac and different CI/CD like Azure DevOps, GitHub Action runners, also ServiceNow
Cloud exposure - Azure experience is desirable
