What's the role?

Join our Graduate Scheme after studying for your BEng (Hons). You will be based in our Loughborough office and will specialise in mechanical engineering.

This is a blended learning opportunity combining and will exposure to the whole business. The role is office-based and focused on Medium to High Voltage Power Transformers. The scheme will start in September 2026 and run for 2 years.

Key Responsibilities

Learn and use engineering design software
Review and check technical drawings
Attend internal design review meetings
Shadow qualified engineers on live projects
Join engineers on client site visits and meetings
Assist with calculations, drawings, and specifications
Support general office activities such as document management
Learn and use engineering design software (Autodesk - Inventor & AutoCad)

What we’re looking for:

BEng (Hons) or MEng : Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering
GCSEs at a grade 4 or above

Essential Skills:

Clear verbal and written communication
Confidence with numbers and technical measurements
Organised and methodical approach
Strong time management and reliability
Logical thinking and problem-solving

Personal Qualities:

Comfortable working across office, site, and university settings
Commitment to safety and good practice
Curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
