We work with health systems such as CHUM, Henry Ford Health, UCSF, MetroHealth, and St. Elizabeth Healthcare to deliver measurable ROI through CPT-coded reimbursement and population health improvements.

Role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to maintain and extend our current backend systems while contributing to new services.

This role requires NestJS, PHP and SQL experience to work with and understand the existing codebase, while helping design and implement modern microservices and improving DevOps processes.

Responsibilities

Maintain existing PHP and SQL systems and migrate towards NestJS
Design and develop new backend services and APIs
Work with microservices and cloud-based architecture
Collaborate with DevOps on deployment, monitoring, and automation
Improve performance, scalability, and security
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of backend development experience
NestJS, PHP and SQL knowledge
Experience with microservices and RESTful APIs
RabbitMQ or other messaging systems
Cloud experience (Azure and Oracle Cloud preferred)
Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization, and automation tools
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team

Nice-to-Have

Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries
Kubernetes (AKS) and container orchestration
Networking and infrastructure optimization
Familiarity with AI tools to improve development workflows
