Business Analyst – ISO 20022 Payments (Contract)

Toronto | Payments / Banking Industry | ⏳ 12-month extendable contract

Hybrid: 3x a week

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong ISO 20022 knowledge to support modernization initiatives in the payments space. In this role, you’ll analyze payment file formats, support data modeling, evaluate industry standards, and contribute to the mapping and implementation of ISO 20022 across multiple payment rails.

Must-Have Qualifications

Strong ISO 20022 knowledge (ACH/NACHA, EFT/CPA005, Interac)
Experience with file/message mapping & payment data modeling
5+ years in banking, payments, or business analysis
Excellent communication, documentation, and analysis skills
Understanding of Canadian & U.S. payment ecosystems
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Business, or related field

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with API-based payment systems
Familiarity with software & systems architecture
Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
