We are seeking a highly motivated and technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for a short-term contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and business intelligence, with hands-on experience in Oracle databases and Cognos reporting. This role is critical for supporting and enhancing our data-driven initiatives within a dynamic financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders in the Wealth Management or Capital Markets domain to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications for data structures, reports, and dashboards.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from Oracle databases.
Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, insights, and data quality issues.
Act as a liaison between the business users and the technical/development teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
Support testing efforts, including creating test cases and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Required Skills & Qualifications

3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) in a technical environment.
Strong proficiency in Oracle database management, including advanced SQL query writing, data modeling, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Framework Manager, or similar modules) for report and dashboard development.
