Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Stratford, London, United Kingdom
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)
Contract: 6 Months (likely extension)
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer with hands-on expertise in CMDB, ServiceNow, automation and DevOps-driven environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating CMDB configurations, ensuring data accuracy, supporting integrations, and contributing to process automation across the ServiceNow landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Perform testing, validation, and quality assurance for CMDB configurations, discovery, integrations, and automation workflows.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of asset and service data within the CMDB.
Work closely with DevOps/ServiceNow teams to verify platform updates, configurations, and automation scripts.
Support end-to-end test cycles for CMDB enhancements, integrations, and ServiceNow modules.
Identify defects, raise issues, and help drive continuous improvement.
Participate in configuration reviews and impact assessments.
Assist with validating discovery tool outputs and integration data flows.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with CMDB concepts, data models, relationships, and best practices.
ServiceNow background — experience testing or working within the platform (CMDB, Discovery, Integrations).
Exposure to DevOps practices, automation, scripting, or integration validation.
Ability to analyse data quality issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
Experience in structured testing processes, defect management, and documentation.
Good To Have
ServiceNow CSA certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience with automation tools, configuration management, or ITOM modules.
