My client is looking for a Infrastructure/Platform Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Liverpool
Duration: 6 months
Inside IR35 - £300/day
Job Description
Candidate Profile
Candidate Expectations
Design, implement, and maintain the platform technologies in line with security and operational standards
Provide expert-level support across infrastructure systems, managing incidents and vendor escalations
Lead planning and execution of technical projects with architects, delivery teams, and stakeholders
Oversee infrastructure maintenance: patching, backups, disaster recovery, and restoration processes
Produce clear documentation for solutions, handovers, and operational procedures to support BAU teams
Mentor and guide technical staff, fostering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Build strong stakeholder relationships with responsive, customer-focused communication
Core Technical Requirements
VMware/vSphere
Citrix Desktops and Apps
Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
TCP/IP Networking
IIS (Internet Information Services)
SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
DNS
Active Directory/Group Policy
Server & End-User Device Patching
PKI/ADCS, SSL certificate management (internal & external)
Monitoring tools (SolarWinds)
Azure services: Entra ID, Conditional Access, Single Sign-On (other Azure aspects desirable)
Intune for MDM/end-user device management
Change management experience (ITIL framework desirable)
Desirable Skills
Jira project management
SQL knowledge
Experience with Agile sprints
