What We’re Looking For
We want to connect with Back-end Engineers who demonstrate expertise in a broad range of core skills and experience, including but not limited to:
A degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline (e.g., computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
Strong Python skills, with experience in back-end development and unit testing.
Familiarity with generative AI concepts, particularly Large Language Models.
Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred), including core web application infrastructure.
Knowledge of agile practices and ability to thrive in collaborative, iterative environments.
Proficiency with modern development tools and workflows (e.g., git/GitHub, DevOps practices), with a mindset of commit early and deploy often.
Understanding of web development best practices, modern design principles, and continuous integration workflows.
Experience with automated testing tools and building robust test suites.
What You Might Be Doing
As an Back-end Engineer at GSK, you could get involved with:
Backend development for Python-based web applications.
Integration of AI/ML components with backend systems, data pipelines, and compute infrastructure.
Delivering high-quality implementations following best practices, including automated testing and documentation.
Participating in code reviews and collaborating with technical teams across disciplines.
Supporting evaluations and insights on generative AI datasets.
