Job Specifications

We’re looking for a motivated developer to join our client’s team and contribute to the evolution of a critical regulatory reporting platform. In this role, you will first build strong functional knowledge of the solution’s modules and then become an active member of the development team, supporting a pipeline of enhancements planned for the coming years. You will work closely with a lead developer and business analysts in an international environment where quality, accuracy, and delivery are key.

Role & Responsibilities

As part of our client’s development team, you will work on both functional and technical improvements across multiple modules. Your responsibilities include:

Developing enhancements and changes across actuarial, modeling, accounting, and reporting components
Implementing unit tests and integration tests to ensure solution stability and reliability
Working closely with analysts to understand and apply data requirements correctly
Executing developments in test environments and analyzing output data for quality and consistency
Supporting continuous improvements and contributing to a roadmap of upcoming developments
Ensuring deliverables meet regulatory and quality expectations

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for a developer who is comfortable working in complex data environments and taking ownership of assigned developments. You bring:

A university degree in IT, Data, or a related field
Proven experience as a data-focused developer in complex business environments, ideally within finance or risk
Strong hands-on knowledge of R and SQL (mandatory)
The ability to work independently and manage developments within tight deadlines
Professional proficiency in English
Experience with regulatory reporting (such as IFRS17) is a plus
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure is an advantage
Experience with DevOps practices and tooling is a plus
Exposure to data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory is an asset

Practical Details

Location: Brussels (hybrid model)
Remote work: up to 3 days per week
