Role: Systems Engineer
Location: Corsham 3 Days per week
Clearance: SC Clearance (bare minimum)
Contract: 3 Months
Rate: £500 to £600 Outside IR35 or £80,000 per annum (if wanting to be full-time)
Start Date: ASAP
iO Associates are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Systems Engineer to support secure IT programmes of national importance. This role covers the full lifecycle - from requirements analysis through to design, testing, and validation - in a dynamic, client-facing consultancy environment.
What you'll do
Work with stakeholders to define and manage clear, testable requirements.
Shape delivery strategies, produce architecture models, and technical designs.
Develop and execute test and integration plans.
Support delivery across multiple project stages.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to practice development.
What you'll bring
Strong background in requirements management and verification/validation.
Knowledge of MBSE (ArchiMate, UML, SysML) and requirements tools (eg DOORS).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable: Cyber, secure system design, MOD frameworks, Agile experience, consultancy background.
