About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Developer II to join our Global Cloud Device Farm Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining a highly scalable, cloud-native platform that supports automated testing across diverse devices and operating systems globally. Your work will directly impact the quality assurance processes by enabling on-demand device access, test orchestration, and comprehensive reporting capabilities.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust APIs, libraries, and tools that integrate seamlessly with our existing test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, contribute to scalable distributed systems, and help shape the future of global device testing infrastructure within a leading entertainment company.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in software application development, including building libraries, APIs, frameworks, and tools.
Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages.
Strong experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Armory, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Rest APIs and gRPC protocols.
Experience working with multiple device types and operating systems including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and various set-top boxes.
Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or Suitest.
Exposure to device farms like BrowserStack, SauceLabs, AWS Device Farm, or HeadSpin is a plus.
Understanding of various testing methodologies including unit, functional, integration, end-to-end, security, and performance testing.
Experience with reporting tools like Grafana.
Proficiency with Scrum, Jira, version control systems, and defect lifecycle management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud-based testing infrastructure and tools.
Build and optimize APIs, libraries, and frameworks to support automated testing workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
Contribute to the architecture and implementation of distributed systems supporting global device testing.
Establish best practices for code quality, documentation, and operational procedures.
Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Participate in technical discussions, review code, and influence team strategies and decisions.
Ensure high standards of security, performance, and scalability in all solutions.
Document technical designs, processes, and operational procedures clearly and comprehensively.
