About the Role:

As a Plumber within the Utilities industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems that support essential public services. Your work will directly impact the reliability and safety of water supply and waste management infrastructure, contributing to community health and environmental standards. You will be responsible for interpreting technical documents and blueprints to execute precise plumbing tasks, while adhering strictly to safety regulations and operational protocols. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing preventative maintenance to minimize service disruptions. Minimum Qualifications:

Valid plumbing license or certification as required by local or state regulations.
Proven experience working as a plumber in a utilities or related industry.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and operating instructions.
Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations applicable to plumbing work.
Proficiency in operating power tools and performing routine maintenance on plumbing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with stainless steel plumbing systems and components.
Basic carpentry skills to assist with related construction tasks.
Familiarity with writing detailed routine reports and professional correspondence.
Additional certifications in safety or specialized plumbing techniques.
Experience in a utilities environment with knowledge of public infrastructure plumbing standards.

Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and fittings in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and operating instructions to plan and execute plumbing tasks accurately.
Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Operate and maintain power tools and equipment necessary for plumbing installations and repairs.
Prepare and write routine reports and correspondence documenting work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to coordinate work and ensure project completion to specifications.
Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, malfunctions, or other issues and perform necessary corrective actions.
Maintain inventory of plumbing supplies and stainless steel components, ensuring availability for ongoing projects.
