Appian Developer (Hybrid – Austin, TX)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer to design, build, and deploy enterprise applications using Appian’s low-code platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, familiarity with Agile frameworks, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This role involves building SAIL interfaces, developing API integrations, optimizing UI performance, and ensuring high-quality application delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications, including SAIL interfaces and Process Models
Integrate Appian solutions with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs
Improve UI/UX performance and responsiveness
Write and execute unit and integration tests
Collaborate closely with business analysts, QA teams, and project stakeholders
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize complex workflows and application components
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews
Required Skills & Experience
1+ year of Appian or low-code development experience
Strong hands-on experience in design, development, debugging, and solution optimization
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of Appian development experience
Appian Developer Certification (highly preferred)
Appian Senior Developer Certification (a plus)
Experience delivering scalable workflow automation solutions
Familiarity with integrating enterprise systems and APIs
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Equivalent work experience is acceptable
