Job Specifications

We have an exciting job opportunity for UI/UX Lead role at Telford, United Kingdom.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile applications.
Define and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Mentor and guide UI/UX designers within the team.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
Ensure designs align with business goals and user needs.
Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to translate requirements into design solutions.
Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization.
Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
Introduce innovative approaches to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years in lead designer role.
Proven portfolio showcasing design projects for web and mobile platforms.
Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
Experience with RESTful APIs and MuleSoft integration.
Knowledge of UX principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.

Technical Skills:

Experience in government or citizen-facing projects.
Understanding of API-led connectivity and MuleSoft architecture.
Expertise in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
Added advantage knowing AI-Powered & Emerging Tools
Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles.

Preferred Qualifications & Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Experience with design systems and component libraries.
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus.
