With the launch of our flagship generative AI product, we’ve consistently exceeded our revenue targets quarter over quarter and continue to accelerate our growth. Our product roadmap is ambitious, customer-focused, and designed to deliver exceptional value at speed.

On the heels of our $122M USD Series D funding, we’re racing ahead with an exciting product roadmap and we’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fuel our next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for BDR's who are excited by the opportunity to break into a huge, untapped market and make an immediate, meaningful impact. This role is ideal for someone who wants to go beyond high-volume outreach and build real skill in thoughtful outbound. We’re at an exciting stage of growth and are excited to bring on an enthusiastic, scrappy self-starter who takes ownership and contributes meaningfully to our success.

You will operate with intention and rigor. Your work will include identifying patterns in buyer behavior, crafting outreach that speaks to real customer challenges, and holding yourself accountable to outcomes.

You will collaborate directly with sales leadership to plan and execute territory strategies with precision. Your success will come from disciplined daily habits, strong business judgment, and a deep understanding of how our technology transforms workflows for accounting professionals.

You’ll receive significant hands-on training and in-depth sales experience as we invest in your success with intentional professional development and support. Our ideal candidate will be inspired by what we’re doing and be motivated to advance in a fast-paced, innovative, rapidly growing company.

A Note on Location

We are excited to meet with qualified candidates and are grateful for everyone’s interest. Please note that this is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be on-site in Toronto 3 days per week. Additionally, there will be occasional travel for conferences. All candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

What To Expect

Your onboarding will be structured, fast-paced, and intentionally challenging. You will develop a sophisticated understanding of our market, product, and customers through guided training, shadowing, and hands-on practice. By the end of onboarding, you will have:
Shadowed multiple high-quality discovery calls and demos to understand how top performers interact with senior decision-makers.
Completed a mock discovery session to demonstrate your understanding of value-based selling.
Learned outbound frameworks tailored to the accounting and tax industry, grounded in real customer challenges and buying signals.
Overall, your role will involve:
Executing targeted outbound outreach built on context and relevance, not generic scripts.
Conducting thoughtful and structured discovery to validate fit, urgency, and value alignment.
Developing territory strategies grounded in data, ICP insights, and industry understanding.
Maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline organization in Salesforce, ensuring clarity for leadership.
Representing Blue J professionally at conferences, webinars, and industry events.
