Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Core Technology team at Ziverge, you will be responsible for writing and reviewing code, contributing to technical decisions, and mentoring engineers in your squad. You will be a key part of an engaging, dynamic and inclusive engineering organization, grounded in agile practices, CI/CD, great collaboration and motivated by a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. You'll be working on our high-performance, scalable software solutions, capable of serving high-concurrency requests with low-latency response times. Your work will be deeply integrated into our platform to enable advanced features, release management, and real-time data processing across various aspects of our clients' technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement robust, scalable services in a multi-cloud environment
Drive technical decisions that shape the future of our platform
Mentor and elevate the skills of your fellow engineers
Collaborate closely with product and project teams to align technology with business goals
Champion best practices in coding, testing, and deployment

Experience

Proven track record in JVM languages (Scala preferred, but Java or Kotlin experience welcome)
Strong grasp of functional programming principles, especially with ZIO
Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
Passion for clean, efficient, and well-tested code

Other Relevant Skills

Microservices architecture expertise (REST, GraphQL)
Database optimization skills (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
Familiarity with streaming technologies like Kafka
Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities

Background

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
3-5 years of professional software engineering experience
