Senior Python/FS Developer – FinTech Platform (Backend Engineering)

We’re partnered with a fast-growing FinTech building a high-impact platform that empowers UK businesses. They’ve delivered billions in funding and continue to scale rapidly — and now they’re hiring a Senior Python/FS Developer to drive the next stage of their product and platform evolution.

This role offers high ownership, a modern engineering culture, and the chance to shape scalable, secure backend systems used nationwide.

The Role

Design, build, and maintain large-scale, production-grade backend systems.
Own core Python services and distributed systems end-to-end.
Drive architectural decisions across data, API, and platform layers.
Work within a DevOps culture — you build it, you run it.
Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to solve real user problems.
Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across squads.
Balance engineering rigour with pragmatic, simple solutions.
Make use of modern tooling — including Generative AI — to accelerate delivery and decision-making.
