Head of Product (12-Month Maternity Cover)
Beauty & Wellness – Heritage Brand Relaunch

We’re partnering with an established, values-driven skincare and wellness business with a portfolio of award-winning brands across skincare, bodycare, haircare and fragrance. Known for its entrepreneurial culture, commitment to sustainability (including B Corp accreditation) and innovative brand approach, the company is entering a pivotal phase with the relaunch of one of its most iconic heritage brands.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategically minded, commercially astute Product Development professional to lead the full product lifecycle for a major brand transformation — from concept and innovation through to formulation, packaging, testing and launch.
The Role
As Head of Product (Maternity Cover), you will play a key role in defining and delivering the product vision for a high-profile brand relaunch. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Operations and senior leadership, you will drive the strategic and commercial direction of the NPD pipeline while ensuring flawless execution.
This role is perfect for someone who excels at blending creativity with commercial rigour, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys leading projects that balance heritage with forward-looking innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic product development projects aligned with overarching brand and commercial objectives.
Own the complete product lifecycle: ideation, formulation, packaging, testing and launch.
Translate consumer insights, category trends and market data into actionable product strategies.
Develop and manage the full NPD roadmap, including seasonal launches, core line updates and innovation extensions.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, compliant and impactful launches.
Build and manage supplier and manufacturer relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency and on-time delivery.
Oversee product margins, pricing architecture and COGs optimisation.
Ensure packaging development, artwork approvals and testing meet brand and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot challenges across formulations, timelines and compliance processes.
Present clear updates and progress reports to senior stakeholders.
About You
Senior-level experience in Product Development or Product Management within beauty, skincare or personal care.
Strong background in brand or category development; experience with heritage or luxury brands is a plus.
Commercially minded, analytically strong and confident owning margins and pricing strategies.
Exceptional project leadership, able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Skilled in supplier and manufacturer management, with strong negotiation experience.
Excellent communicator and influencer comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of packaging development, testing, regulatory frameworks and sustainability standards.
Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused, with resilience in a fast-moving environment.
