Governance, Risk and Compliance Senior Analyst – Austin, TX
Join our team as a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Senior Analyst and make a meaningful impact on organizational security and compliance!
Position Details:
Pay Rate: $70/hr
Location: Onsite, Austin, TX (5 days/week)
Vertical: HR & Compliance
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, assess, and prioritize operational, financial, and reputational risks that could impact SARC's strategic objectives.
Develop and implement robust risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize exposure.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve compliance issues promptly and effectively.
Stay current on GRC and privacy trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.
Collaborate across departments to foster a comprehensive and cohesive GRC approach.
Prepare detailed reports on GRC activities, compliance status, and risk assessments.
Ensure SARC's full compliance with relevant laws and standards including data protection, export control, labor laws, SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR, SOX, and NIST CSF.
Build and nurture cross-functional partnerships to strengthen GRC awareness and organizational participation.
Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring SARC is well-prepared and responsive to all audit requirements.
Develop comprehensive audit plans, risk assessments, and control evaluations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Security, or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in GRC or a closely related field
Proficiency with GRC software and tools (RSA Archer, BitSight, or similar platforms)
Strong foundational knowledge of GRC principles and industry best practices
Understanding of SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR, SOX, and NIST CSF compliance frameworks
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
