Type: Hybrid (2 days on site in either Houston TX or Dublin CA)

Work schedule: Mon through Fri, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 40 hours/week during US CT/PT

Job Description

Our retail client is seeking a seasoned Front-End Architect with deep expertise in building and scaling enterprise-grade retail and e-commerce applications. The ideal consultant will drive architecture, component design, and front-end delivery across multiple product teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and build high-performance retail and e-commerce applications using React (10+ yrs) and Next.js (3+ yrs).

- Define and enforce System Design & Atomic Design standards to establish scalable, reusable component libraries across micro frontends.

- Lead the architecture and implementation of Micro Frontend frameworks enabling independent deployments and team autonomy.

- Improve team efficiency using AI-driven workflows (automated code reviews, documentation generation, test creation).

- Implement CI/CD-integrated testing leveraging Playwright for continuous, reliable, and automated front-end validation.

Must-Have Skills

- 10+ years front-end engineering experience in enterprise retail/e-commerce environments

- React, Next.js, TypeScript

- Micro frontend architecture

- System & atomic design principles

- CI/CD, test automation (Playwright)

- AI-driven engineering tools
