New York, NY (Hybrid)

Our client is a fast-growing global organization looking for a Lead AI Engineer to architect and build enterprise scale AI systems. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the CTO, blending deep engineering with big-picture strategy. You’ll design and deliver LLM-based applications using ChatGPT Enterprise, Glean AgenticAI, OpenAI APIs, and custom pipelines that drive automation, productivity, and smarter decision making across the company.

What you’ll do

• Architect and implement AI solutions including RAG frameworks, vector databases, and multi modal workflows

• Lead hands-on development, prototyping, and deployment of LLM tools

• Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for orchestration, monitoring, and prompt optimization

• Partner with product, data, legal, and IT teams to ensure secure and responsible AI adoption

• Mentor engineers and help shape the organization’s enterprise AI roadmap

What we’re looking for

• 5 plus years in AI or ML engineering, with 3 plus years of technical leadership

• Experience with ChatGPT Enterprise, Glean AgenticAI, OpenAI APIs, and LLM development

• Strong Python skills and experience with LangChain or similar orchestration tools

• Cloud deployment experience (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or GCP Vertex AI)

• Knowledge of vector databases like Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and executive stakeholders
