Contract ETL Developer (Snowflake / DBT Cloud / Fivetran)

Remote corp to corp role - Must reside in California or Chicago

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Developer with strong expertise in Snowflake, DBT Cloud, and Fivetran to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of data engineering best practices, data warehouse design, and modern ELT pipeline development. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain ELT pipelines using DBT Cloud, Snowflake, and Fivetran.
Implement and optimize data models aligned with star schema and medallion architecture best practices.
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting and analytics platforms.
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes, ensuring scalability and performance.
Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices for data engineering processes.

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer.
Must reside in California or Chicago
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT Cloud, and Fivetran.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star schema modeling.
Familiarity with Snowflake Medallion architecture.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is a plus.
