Job Description: Network Security Engineer

Location: Lyon, France (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Contract: 12-month (3 year project)

Our client is a leading global energy provider, driving innovation across electricity generation, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. They are currently undergoing major transformation initiatives to modernize their global network and security architecture, supporting operations in nuclear, water, and gas sectors.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the global networking team. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable network solutions for multi-site environments as part of large-scale transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Build (70%): Implement global network solutions and contribute to architecture decisions.
Run & Support (30%): Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing infrastructure.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on complex projects.
Ensure network security and compliance with corporate standards.
Support Agile-driven transformation initiatives (SAFE framework)..

Required Skills

Core Networking: Routing & Switching (Cisco preferred).
Security: Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto).
WAN Technologies: Global connectivity; SD-WAN experience a plus.
Familiarity with Agile/SAFE frameworks.
Ability to work across networking and security domains.
Strong communication skills for global stakeholder engagement.

Experience

5-10 years in network engineering.
Proven experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
Exposure to large-scale, global network environments.
