Job Specifications
The Senior Business Analyst will join HSBC’s Cybersecurity Operations and Intelligence function, supporting the delivery of the Target Operating Model (TOM) and strategic initiatives across Cyber Operations. The role focuses on analysing, designing, and delivering high-quality, cost-effective cybersecurity solutions while ensuring strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
This position reports directly to the Head of Cybersecurity Operations Programme Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Define and deliver the Cyber Operations Target Operating Model (TOM) with clear business outcomes.
Capture and manage business and technical requirements, ensuring full traceability throughout delivery.
Ensure quality assurance of solutions against business requirements.
Develop and support business cases and expected value assessments.
Present programme insights to senior leadership, ExCo, and Steering Committees.
Identify, document, and manage risks, dependencies, and inter-programme impacts.
Support and mentor junior Business Analysts.
Standard Responsibilities
Define project requirements and deliver user test plans aligned to business and technical needs.
Manage HSBC governance processes (e.g., External Hosting Committees, Data Visa).
Produce and update operational processes supporting new tools and features.
Support business transition and BAU handover, ensuring delivery readiness and acceptance.
Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)
Core Experience
5+ years’ experience as a Business / Solution Analyst in technology delivery.
Strong Banking domain experience.
Hands-on Cybersecurity experience (Cyber Operations, Security Monitoring, Risk, or related areas).
Proven experience creating Target Operating Models (TOMs) or operating strategies.
Strong expertise in Use Cases, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, process maps, and usability analysis.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum / SAFe preferred).
Technical & Delivery Skills
Strong experience in requirements definition, testing, and business process documentation.
Excellent knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
Experience delivering solutions in large, complex organisations.
Strong planning, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
