Role Summary
The Over the Air Update team enables delivery of new software to the engineering, manufacturing, and customer fleets and therefore is central to Rivian Volkswagen Technologies’ ability to deliver a continuously improving, world class experience to our customers. As a technical program manager within this team you will be responsible for working cross functionally with stakeholders throughout the organization, as well as with OEM partners, to balance priorities and ensure the system and the team remains efficient and effective.
Responsibilities
Ensure the performance and quality of Rivian’s OTA service through strong program leadership
Engage developers and leaders around the software organization to anticipate upcoming changes that require OTA support, burn down existing bugs, and drive feature development forward.
Work closely with OTA operations team members to identify and understand common sources of failure, maintain the issue backlog, and facilitate communication between engineering and service
Work closely with OTA development engineers to create and drive execution plans for cross functional OTA projects
Work closely with OTA test engineers to ensure appropriate regression testing is executed for the different software releases.
Design and maintain agile processes for tracking and executing OTA projects across a variety of domains and contexts
Qualifications
BS or MS in an engineering or scientific discipline related with 4+ years relevant experience
2+ years of Technical or Engineering Program Management experience.
Strong understanding of Atlassian project management tools, bonus points if you’ve worked with the APIs directly
Experience with the entire Software Development Lifecycle from user story creation to validation.
Experience working with complex systems in either a technical or programs capacity
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Expert with agile, waterfall, or kanban development processes
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $132,100 - $165,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
