We are looking for a Citrix Administrator to join one of our clients, a major corporate investment bank based in Montreal.

Context and role objectives:

The IT Services division is responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure solutions to support global business operations. This includes application hosting, digital workplace services, cloud platforms, and connectivity services across the organization. Within this division, the Citrix Engineering team provides design, administration, and operational support for the global Citrix perimeter. The team ensures the stability, performance, and availability of virtual application and desktop solutions used across the enterprise. In this context, we are seeking a Citrix expert to provide Level 3 operational support, lead engineering initiatives, and contribute to architecture, automation, and strategic improvements.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Serve as a senior Citrix subject-matter expert for both operations and engineering activities within the AMER region
Support global Citrix services including XenApp/XenDesktop, NetScaler, and application virtualization platforms
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application connectivity and performance issues
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design and implement secure, scalable solutions
Ensure production changes comply with lifecycle, risk, and change management standards
Produce and maintain operational procedures in coordination with international teams (including Paris)
Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours and weekend support when required
Review incidents regularly to improve monitoring efficiency and reduce overall ticket volume
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior team members
Participate in architecture reviews, strategy discussions, and continuous enhancement initiatives
Provide Level 3 support for incident, problem, and request management
Contribute to documentation, reporting, and compliance with internal governance

PROFILE Experience Required:

5+ years of hands-on experience in IT Operations and infrastructure support within Citrix environments
Proven experience administering and supporting Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop)
Strong operational expertise with Citrix NetScaler (gateway, load balancing, authentication policies)
Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical digital workplace environments
Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell required; VBScript/CMD a plus)

Technical Expertise:

Administration of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (22.03+) in enterprise environments
Administration of Citrix NetScaler (13.1+) including access policies, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Experience with Ivanti Workspace Control (End User Computing)
Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019), Windows 11, Active Directory, DNS
Experience with VMware and VDI technologies
Understanding of NAS storage, backup and recovery processes
Experience diagnosing complex application performance and connectivity issues
Exposure to SQL Server and enterprise backup & recovery tools

Development & Automation:

Experience building automation scripts for operational tasks (PowerShell, VBScript)
Ability to contribute to standardization, procedure documentation, and industrialization of processes
Familiarity with CI/CD, version control tools (Git), and automated configuration management (asset)

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience working in highly regulated or financial environments
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, Entra ID
Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Working environment:

Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Montréal
Fluency in English required; French is a strong plus
Hybrid role: 4 days per week on site
Participation in on-call rotations, including evenings/weekends
