About The Role

Seeking a mid to senior Software Engineer with 3-6 years experience in Node.js, TypeScript, and Postgres for an onsite role in NY, building AI management systems.

The role of Software Engineer (Full-Stack or Backend-Leaning) is based in New York, NY, and requires working onsite 4 to 5 days per week. The position is open to mid to senior-level candidates with 3 to 6 years of experience. The compensation for this role ranges from $150K to $215K, along with 0.25% to 1% equity. The company is open to sponsoring visas for exceptional candidates.

The mission of the company is to build the AI Management System of the future, aimed at automating managerial routines and enabling flatter, faster organizations. The company is currently in the seed stage, having raised over $3 million.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in Node.js, TypeScript, and Postgres, and the ability to write API requests to OpenAI, either through work or personal projects. Strong computer science fundamentals and a degree, preferably from a top 20 school, are required. The candidate should have hands-on software engineering experience and possess strong communication and teamwork skills suitable for a fast-paced, in-person startup environment.

The company values candidates who are curious, self-starting, collaborative, and impact-oriented. It is preferable if candidates have side project experience, a background in AI startups, or a demonstrated passion for AI. Markers of excellence such as participation in the Recurse Center, Pioneer, Thiel Fellowship, or competitions are considered a plus. The company prefers candidates from leading tech companies, major corporations, or high-growth AI startups, especially those who have taken career risks or worked in fast-paced environments.
