What You Will Do
We are looking for a Deep Learning & Spectral Modeling Intern to support our R&D efforts on InSpek’s next-generation optical sensors. You will work closely with our AI application team on challenging topics such as Deep Learning raman spectroscopy modeling, synthetic data generation, transfer learning, and robust spectral prediction.
Our mission: build deep learning models that can generalize across instruments and experimental conditions by leveraging real and synthetic spectral data.
Responsabilities
Develop and train advanced deep learning architectures using PyTorch or TensorFlow
Implement augmentation, transfer learning and domain adaptation pipelines (CORAL, MMD, adversarial learning)
Create classic synthetic Raman spectra using Instrument-response simulation and cross-instrument modeling
Explore generative deep learning approaches for synthetic data (GANs and VAEs, Autoencoder-based latent space sampling)
Evaluate the impact of synthetic data on model performance and generalization
COMPETENCIES / PROFILE
Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, or related fields
Mandatory: meaningful hands-on deep learning experience from a previous internship or serious academic project
Strong interest in synthetic data generation, simulation, and signal processing
Experience with GANs, VAEs, or autoencoders is a strong plus
Familiarity with spectroscopy or 1D signal processing is a plus
Curious, rigorous, and comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment
Good communication skills in English
Proactivity, creativity, and all the soft skills that will help build the success of InSpek with us!
You speak French and English (both useful in our bilingual lab!)
