AI Engineer IV – Azure Infrastructure

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer IV to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure-based AI infrastructure. This role will focus on cloud architecture, monitoring, security, patching, CI/CD automation, and ensuring operational excellence across mission-critical environments.
This is an onsite position requiring candidates to be local to Virginia or able to pick up equipment in Mechanicsville, VA. Interviews will be conducted in person only.
Key Responsibilities
Implement, maintain, and manage Azure AI and cloud infrastructure.
Provide technical guidance on deploying and optimizing AI resources in Azure.
Configure and maintain monitoring, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
Perform regular patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation.
Manage backup operations, disaster recovery plans, and system stability efforts.
Support production applications and troubleshoot issues across diverse technologies (.NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Dynamics).
Plan and execute cloud migration projects from on-prem to Azure.
Work with enterprise tools including Tenable, SCCM, and SCOM for security and automated deployment.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable system operations.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years guiding and supporting Azure AI resource implementations.
8+ years working with Azure environments (implementation, monitoring, maintenance).
10+ years of patching, system updates, and automated deployment experience.
10+ years managing backup, recovery, and mission-critical environments.
10+ years supporting production applications across multi-tech stacks.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, OSI layers, and network protocols.
Experience using SCCM/SCOM, Tenable, and other enterprise security tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as:
Azure Administrator Associate
Azure Solutions Architect
Azure AI Engineer Associate
Network+, CCNA, or related
Experience in government or large-scale enterprise environments.
