Job Specifications

Job Duties

Coordinate and guide installation of Java based web applications on various environments.
Drive the Continuous Integration and Delivery strategy for delivering and maintaining web applications.
Implement and enhance Automation framework for delivery of web applications using Java, J2EE, Jenkins, Maven, Unix.
Provide infrastructure support to Developers and QA including Linux and Cloud administration.
Work with Application Developers on a day-to-day basis to collect requirements for next release.
Preparing release notes for each release.

Qualifications

Hands on experience with kubernetes. This includes creating and managing clusters, etc. and being proficient with kubectl
Must have experience with linux in regards to security patching, log searching and general administrative tasks
Must have hands on experience with AWS services including: MSK clusters, noSQL databases, AWS EKS, IAM users and groups
Must have hands on experience with AWS networking including: VPC management, private links, route 53, network access
A basic understanding of Java programming language and managing Java applications in both production and non-production environments

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
