Job Description – SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer (NextGen / Clean Core)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer with proven, hands-on expertise in modern “NextGen” development frameworks. This role is strictly for developers who have real S/4HANA project experience, aligned with Clean Core, cloud-ready extensibility, and RAP-based application development.

Candidates with ECC-heavy or outdated experience will not be shortlisted.

Core Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
Build and enhance CDS Views (basic, interface, consumption) and OData services.
Implement Key User and Developer Extensibility aligned to SAP’s Clean Core principles.
Work with released S/4HANA APIs for integration and extension.
Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot S/4HANA applications using SAP BAS (Business Application Studio).
Perform Fiori Adaptation Projects (mandatory requirement).
Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Ensure adherence to SAP’s Clean Core guidelines and modern development standards.
Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous improvement activities.

Must-Have Skills (Mandatory)

These are strict filters — candidates lacking any of these will be rejected.

Recent and hands-on S/4HANA development experience (not theoretical, not ECC migration-only).
RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model) project experience.
Key User + Developer Extensibility experience.
Strong experience in:
CDS Views
OData service development
Released S/4HANA APIs
Fiori Adaptation Project experience (critical interview filter).
Hands-on experience with SAP BAS.
Strong English communication skills (stakeholder-facing role).
