About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing LILT’s Connect API and connectors platform, which serves as the gateway to our machine translation services. Your work will directly enable clients to deliver multilingual and localized experiences across various platforms. This position offers high visibility and significant impact within the company, with ample opportunities for professional growth. Based in Indianapolis, IN, or remote in the Boston metropolitan area, you will work in a hybrid capacity once office facilities are fully operational. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, comfortable thinking strategically while diving deep into technical challenges.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
7+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer
Experience leading engineering teams in a technical capacity
Proficiency with backend technologies such as Python and Java
Strong experience with React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
Solid knowledge of relational databases, particularly large MySQL deployments
Basic understanding of NLP and machine learning techniques
Professional fluency in English
Experience working on large-scale, distributed software systems
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain the Connect API and associated connectors platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Implement robust backend services using Python and Java
Create intuitive and responsive front-end interfaces utilizing React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of large-scale distributed systems
Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers within the team
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high-quality standards
Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into projects
