Database Administrators (4 Roles Available)
Location: Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium
Working Pattern: Full-time, on-site
Clearance Requirement: Candidates must already hold a valid NATO Secret, EU SECRET, or an equivalent national clearance level or higher.
Contract Duration: Various start dates across 2026
Our client, a primary supplier to multiple NATO frameworks, is seeking four experienced Database Administrators to support mission-critical database systems across on-premises and cloud environments. Working on-site in Braine-l'Alleud, you will play a key role in maintaining secure, resilient, and high-availability data platforms that underpin essential international operations.
Key Responsibilities (All Roles)
Administer, maintain, and optimise enterprise database systems
Support migrations from on-premises to cloud platforms (eg, Azure SQL)
Implement and maintain High Availability (HA)/Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures and backup strategies
Monitor performance, generate technical reports, and address issues proactively
Manage life cycle activities, upgrades, patching, and roadmap alignment
Ensure operational continuity within a strict security and compliance framework
Develop automation and tooling for database operations (PowerShell, CI/CD, Ansible)
Support reporting and analytics technologies (PowerBI, SSRS/SSIS, Oracle Analytics)
Desired Technical Exposure (Varies by Position)
Microsoft SQL Server (On-Premises & Azure SQL)
Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS, Grafana
Oracle BI Stack (OBIEE, ODI, OAS)
Middleware: WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, ORDS
HA/DR technologies including clustering, replication, and virtualisation
Automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Ansible)
Operating systems: Linux/UNIX and Windows Server
