Principle and Senior Backend Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: North London/Hertfordshire

Type: Permanent | Strong Salary + Bonus + Equity

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a highly skilled Principle and Senior Backend Engineer with fast, accurate coding skills and a passion for building scalable, reliable systems.

You will play a critical role in designing and developing backend services that power IoT products used across high-integrity industries including Fire, Security, Telecare, Retail, Water, and National Infrastructure.

The Role

You will:

Build and maintain backend systems using .NET / C#
Design clean, scalable, maintainable architectures
Contribute to high automated test coverage across all services
Translate business requirements into secure, performant backend solutions
Collaborate closely with front-end, QA, product, and platform teams
Solve complex technical challenges with elegant, thoughtful solutions

Our Technical Environment

Backend: .NET / C#
Automated Testing: NUnit
Solution Testing: Playwright
