We are recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join a global consulting firm on an initial six-month contract, starting in January, with potential to extend. The role is central London based with hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 remote) and offers a competitive day rate (inside IR35).

This is a broad corporate and commercial role, well suited to a mid-senior level lawyer with strong experience in commercial contracts, employment, and data privacy.

As part of a busy in-house legal team, responsibilities will include:

Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements, from NDAs and letters of engagement through to MSAs and transaction documents.
Supporting on contractual disputes.
Assisting with major corporate transactions, including global strategic projects and M&A.
Advising on employment matters, including settlement agreements and employee-related issues.
Supporting on data privacy matters, including DSARs, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborating closely with the wider legal and compliance team on BAU and project work.

You will be at least 3 years PQE (as a guide), with experience gained in a respected corporate/commercial private practice or in-house environment. Strong technical drafting skills are essential, along with the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced team.
