Are you a current undergraduate student looking for an exciting summer opportunity? Savvas Learning Company is seeking bright, motivated undergraduate students to join us for our dynamic 8-week Finance Internship in Chandler, AZ. You will join us for eight weeks and gain valuable experience within the educational publishing industry.
Over the summer, participants will receive guidance from top teams in the K-12 education field, work on real-life business projects, attend weekly informational sessions to learn about other business areas, network with other students, attend off-site events, and finally, present a project to Savvas’ senior leaders at the end of the summer to showcase the impact you’ve made on our business.
Our Interns own have manageable assignments, support diverse programs, experience a variety of editorial tasks, and contribute meaningfully to the development of K-12 educational materials.
Intern positions are full-time opportunities, 40 hours per week, requiring a hybrid work schedule with two (2) days onsite at our Chandler, AZ office. You’ll typically be on-site on Wednesdays and another day as determined by you and your mentor during the first week of the program.
As a Finance Intern on our team, you will use your educational background, in combination with on-the-job training, to support data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics and capacity planning. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Professional Services, providing critical support for strategic initiatives. The Intern will have manageable assignments focusing on data integrity and statistical modeling to contribute meaningfully to our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Aggregating disparate data sources to build a foundational dataset for capacity analysis.
Performing data cleaning and normalization to ensure a high standard for data accuracy and integrity.
Developing regression models to identify and connect financial performance with underlying business drivers.
Gather raw data from various stakeholders and systems
Conduct audits of opportunity data to identify and clear up anomalies
Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by the Finance team and cross-functional partners
What We Are Looking For
You are a current undergraduate student at an accredited college or university, with a graduation date between December 2026 - June 2027, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
You can commit to a full-time role (40 hours per week) for eight to ten weeks during the summer.
You are enthusiastic about working in a hybrid environment, onsite a minimum of two days per week in Chandler, AZ
You are proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas) for data manipulation and modeling.
Completed coursework in Statistics, Finance, or Accounting is preferred
You are a great communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to translate numbers into a clear business narrative.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy and integrity.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; our internship opportunities are not eligible for sponsorship.
