Position: Cybersecurity Engineer

Compensation: $50 - $60 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Glen Allen, Virginia

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team!

Join a dynamic team as a Cybersecurity Engineer, where you'll independently execute significant cybersecurity projects across the U.S. and Canada. This opportunity arises from the need for local talent in Virginia to drive innovative cybersecurity solutions at various client sites. Embrace the chance to work hands-on, ensuring the highest level of security integrity while collaborating with industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Execute network penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Design and implement secure systems and cybersecurity programs
Conduct detailed post-event analysis and recommend procedural changes
Develop policies for secure network design and firewall implementation
Collaborate with other divisions to enhance cybersecurity measures
Maintain confidentiality and security of client information
Resolve technical issues and communicate implications effectively
Perform cybersecurity compliance and regulatory standards planning
Compile technical documentation and network traffic explanations

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies
Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration tests
Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Knowledge of control systems used by utilities and smart cities

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

Industry-recognized IT certifications in ethical hacking or network engineering
Experience with SCADA systems and risk management frameworks
