Job Title: Graduate AI Engineer

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

About The Role
We are looking for a talented and motivated Graduate AI Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to work on real-world AI and machine learning problems, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of intelligent systems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with experienced engineers, data scientists, and product teams to build scalable AI-driven solutions while developing your technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement machine learning and AI models
Assist in data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Deploy and monitor models in production environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into technical solutions
Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML research, tools, and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
Strong programming skills in Python
Understanding of machine learning fundamentals (supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, overfitting, etc.)
Experience with common ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or similar
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
Desirable (Nice to Have)
Experience with deep learning, NLP, or computer vision
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Exposure to MLOps tools, CI/CD, or model deployment pipelines
Experience working with large datasets or databases (SQL/NoSQL)
Internship or project experience applying AI in real-world scenarios
