Job Specifications

Position: Machine Learning Engineer

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $80–$120/hour

Location: Remote (U.S.-based only)

Commitment: ~20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities:

Draft detailed natural-language plans and implement code solutions for machine learning tasks.
Convert novel machine learning problems into agent-executable tasks for reinforcement learning environments.
Identify failure modes in ML and LLM-generated workflows and apply corrective “golden patches.”
Contribute to benchmarking efforts focused on improving model performance and training efficiency.
Work independently within structured workflows while delivering measurable, high-quality outputs.

Requirements:

Strong experience as an early-career Machine Learning Engineer or completion of advanced academic training (PhD in Computer Science with ML coursework).
Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries such as XGBoost, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or similar frameworks.
Experience with data preparation, model training, evaluation, and debugging ML workflows.
Ability to reason clearly about ML system behavior and document solutions effectively.
Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment.
Prior contributions to ML benchmarks are a plus.
