The Red Hat Ansible Engineering team (https://www.ansible.com/) is looking for a software engineer in the Raleigh/Durham area. If you are a highly motivated professional who wants to work with a high performing team to deliver a high-quality user experience for our customers then please read on.

As a Software Engineer in the Ansible organization, you will be working with geographically dispersed technical team members to analyze, design, develop, debug, and deliver new products and feature functionality for the Ansible Automation Platform. You will get an opportunity to collaborate with diverse agile teams around the world to deliver value for our customers and partners in an open source way. What You Will Do

Develop and maintain software to automatically provision, upgrade, monitor, and heal Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
Work with technical leads and the business to understand feature requirements. Help break requirements down into smaller units of work.
Create test plans and tests to ensure a high level of quality
Ability to work on-site or Hybrid in Raleigh NC or Durham NC
Contribute to all aspects of product delivery, including design/architecture, development, testing, documentation, and deployment.

What You Will Bring

Passion for learning new technologies, building elegant software systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and automation.
2+ years industry experience
Software development experience using Python.
Basic knowledge of software development life cycle tools, like GitHub and Jenkins.
Software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile or scrum processes

Experience With The Following Is Considered a Plus

Writing Ansible playbooks and administering the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
Familiarity with observability platforms (such as Dynatrace, DataDog, etc) are a plus.
Cloud native development/administration experience
Prior experience working on a globally distributed, remote team
Experience with quality and testing

The salary range for this position is $94,550.00 - $151,170.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
