Software Engineer (AI Health-Tech SaaS, Hybrid)
Location: New York (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Our SaaS platform, Phamily, provides healthcare systems and physicians with an AI-powered virtual care platform that enables them to efficiently and easily manage the chronic conditions and general healthcare needs of their patients between office visits, while also enhancing their own reimbursement and financial sustainability in the process. Phamily helps transform healthcare from reactive episodic treatment to proactive care management. We've helped hundreds of thousands of patients since our founding. Responsibilities
Work full-stack with Ruby on Rails, Python, SQL, JS/Vue/React, and modern web tooling
Build and refine features that go from prototype, launch and iteration
Collaborate with senior engineers and tech leads, receiving feedback and mentorship
Use AI tools to speed up development, testing, and learning
Write clean, maintainable code and improve quality over time
Help maintain and enhance our AI-powered care management platform
Skill You Will Need:
Degree in Computer Science or related fields
Strong fundamentals in web application development, databases, and problem-solving
Some experience (academic, internship, or personal) with full-stack projects
Clear communicator who asks thoughtful questions
Eager to learn, grow, and iterate quickly
Bonus: Interest or experience in healthcare, data, or AI-driven products
You will be a great fit for this role if:
You're naturally curious and get hooked on problems, even outside of work. Maybe you're obsessed over a personal project, a class challenge, or an idea you can't stop improving. You love understanding how things work and aren't satisfied until you know the "why."
You can break down complex ideas into simple explanations and communicate clearly, even when discussing new or unfamiliar concepts.
You're scrappy and have a bias toward action. You've shipped a project or prototype fast, maybe in school, at an internship, or on your own, and made intelligent trade-offs to deliver something real instead of perfect.
Most importantly, you're an AI-native learner. You already use tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar to move faster, debug better, and learn quickly. You know AI won't replace engineers, but engineers who use AI will outperform those who don't.
