Role Summary:

About the client:
This client is a highly specialised technology consultancy operating at the forefront of the Defence and National Security sectors. They function as an innovation partner to the government, specialising in "Secure by Design" digital transformation and rapid prototyping. They are renowned for delivering agile, tactical, and strategic infrastructure solutions that bridge the gap between commercial technology and complex, high-classification environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary Infrastructure/Application engineer with deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to design, build, operate, and continuously improve the private cloud platform.
Support a Data-Centric Security LoE by translating business and application requirements into scalable VCF reference architectures (Management/WLD domains, VI WLD design).
Execute detailed capacity planning and create BOM and HCL-compliant designs covering compute, storage, and networking, including Edge design.
Maintain, secure, and improve multi-classification, virtualised, collaboration, and development environments.
Stand up and configure VCF, ensuring automated deployments and integration of platform services.
Establish and document templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and baselines for application teams to ensure operational excellence.
