Senior Programme Manager
Location: Remote (with flexibility across EU, India, and US time zones)
Duration: Until 31 May 2026 (with review and potential extension)
Travel: Occasional travel to Memphis, US (February and May/June workshops)
Start Date: From 1 December (subject to contracting)
Contract: 12 months Inside IR35
Day Rate: £700 - £760
Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Programme Manager to lead a large-scale, multi-year initiative. This programme establishes what good looks like for securing common application scenarios and technology platforms, enabling wider pillars such as GenAI threat modelling, AI chatbot capability, and ongoing security accountability metrics.
The Senior Programme Manager will drive delivery across multiple distributed teams, maintain governance and structure across Crawl-Walk-Run phases, and regularly engage with senior leadership-including VP and SVP stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Programme Leadership & Governance
Lead the overall Secure by Design programme through WALK and RUN Program Increments.
Own and deliver senior-level reporting, including VP/SVP SteerCo presentations, updates, and dashboards.
Establish, maintain, and enhance programme governance, structure, and delivery cadence.
Track and manage programme-level metrics, KPIs, and OKRs, ensuring continuous visibility of progress and risks.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
Act as the primary point of coordination across senior technical and business stakeholders.
Present regularly at SteerCos, leadership forums, and programme reviews.
Ensure clear upward communication and proactive issue escalation.
Workstream Oversight
Oversee multiple teams delivering across secure platform patterns, GenAI threat modelling, chatbot capabilities, and security governance.
Support and guide workstreams through RAID management, sprint cadence, demo planning, and release readiness.
Ensure alignment to the Crawl-Walk-Run framework, enabling consistency across delivery teams.
Additional Expectations
Flexibility across global time zones (EU/India/US) as required.
Ability to support leadership in structuring strategy, delivery frameworks, and governance best practice.
Occasional onsite workshops in Memphis.
Required Experience
Extensive experience leading large, complex, multi-team international programmes.
Proven capability engaging, influencing, and presenting to VP-level and above.
Strong programme governance, structure, and reporting skills.
Experience across security governance, secure platform patterns, compliance, or large-scale technical transformation programmes (highly beneficial).
Understanding of Agile delivery practices (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and senior leadership engagement capabilities.
