We seek a strong Data Encryption Security Operations Engineer to join our team as a member of a global engineering organization across the US, UK, Canada, Israel, and India.

Are you a creative problem solver who can both give and receive feedback? Do you lead with inclusion, collaboration, and openness? Do you have strong experience with high-scale B2B and B2C platforms? You'll be crafting and helping build the next generation of the Anaplan Platform. You’re comfortable with full-stack systems design for the hybrid cloud and hands-on distributed systems programming with extensive knowledge of Java, JVM, Rust, Linux internals, and container orchestration.

This role is an immediate full-time position sitting in our London, York, or Manchester office 2+ days a week for a hybrid schedule. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and seek unique problems that no one is solving in the tech space yet, keep reading.

Your Impact

Own the Data Encryptions infrastructure based on Thales cloud-based data encryption solution
Provision infrastructure to support new customers on BYOK Thales solutions
Enhance and optimize existing processes to ensure a reduction in TTV
Metrics-based monitoring of provisioning and managing BYOK Customer Workspaces
Monitoring and observability of the encryption system following O11Y principles using system/products such as Grahana, Prometheus, Loki
Manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), cryptography, and encryption technologies.

Additionally Manage

Enterprise PKI
Certificate lifecycle management tools (e.g., Venafi, AppviewX, DigiCert CertCentral)
HSMs (e.g., Thales Luna, AWS CloudHSM)
CipherTrust and Vormetric
Strong knowledge of TLS/SSL, X.509 certificates, key usage policies, CRL/OCSP, key vaults, and certificate pinning.
Familiarity with symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms, and key exchange protocols.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relating to encryption.

Your Qualifications

Cryptography and encryption technologies, such as Thales Cloud
Strong skills in TLS/SSL, X.509 certificates, Certificate Lifecycle Management tools
HSMs, Data Security Platforms (Thales CipherTrust or Vormetric)
Networking, infrastructure, and cloud concepts
Operating system concepts (Windows, Linux)
Malware analysis and digital forensics
Incident investigation and management
Familiarity with threat intelligence and attack structures
Familiarity with symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms, and key exchange protocols
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relating to encryption
Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your expertise
BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience as a professional Platform Engineer
A combination of education and work experience in cybersecurity or IT
Experience with Data Encryption platforms and security monitoring tools
Analytical ability and strong communication skills
Monitoring and metrics infrastructure (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus)
Public Cloud (e.g. AWS / GCP/ Azure)
Bonus: Experience with AI/ML, Natural Language, as well as certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH
