Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Security & Customer Trust Lead to help strengthen customer confidence, accelerate go-to-market efforts, and position security as a strategic business enabler. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, customer engagement, and sales enablement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Customer Trust & Transparency

Expand and scale customer-facing trust initiatives, including self-service access to security, privacy, and compliance materials
Ensure customers can easily understand and evaluate the organization’s security posture

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a trusted security advisor to customer security teams and IT leadership
Support sales and account teams as the internal security expert during customer discussions, presentations, and evaluations

External Representation & Thought Leadership

Act as a visible voice for the organization in industry conversations around security and technology
Help define best practices and reinforce the company’s position as a security-forward leader

Go-to-Market Enablement

Translate technical security capabilities into clear business value
Align security messaging with sales and marketing strategies to support product adoption and revenue growth

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with engineering, legal, risk, cyber, and compliance teams to ensure security responses are accurate, current, and aligned with regulatory requirements

RFI / RFP & Due Diligence Support

Lead and contribute to responses for customer security questionnaires, RFIs, and RFPs
Support third-party risk and due diligence processes by clearly articulating security controls, policies, and procedures

Security Knowledge Management

Maintain and continuously improve security documentation, including policies, certifications, and compliance artifacts (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Identify patterns in customer security inquiries to proactively enhance documentation and communication

Strategic Input & Enablement

Provide insights into evolving cybersecurity trends and customer expectations to inform product direction
Develop and standardize security-focused sales playbooks, including messaging, objection handling, and customer examples

Required Qualifications

7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information security, with broad, cross-domain expertise
4+ years in customer-facing or advisory roles supporting senior security and IT stakeholders
Strong technical foundation in cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance frameworks
Solid understanding of core security concepts such as identity and access management, encryption, network security, and incident response
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
Proven ability to influence and collaborate across teams

Preferred Experience

Experience designing or scaling customer trust or security assurance programs
3+ years working with third-party risk management initiatives
Strong business acumen and the ability to connect security capabilities to business outcomes
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIPP/E, Security+)
Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with modern data and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
