The Role
As the VP of Information Security, you will be the most senior security leader at Aspect,
reporting directly to the CTO. You will be a key voice in the company's executive strategy,
responsible for the long-term vision, governance, and execution of our entire information
security program. This role is about more than just managing a team—it's about influencing
and partnering across the organization to embed a "security-first" mindset into everything we
do, from product development to daily operations.
What You'll Do
Executive Leadership & Strategy: Define and articulate a multi-year security strategy
that aligns with business goals. Present the security vision, progress, and risk posture to
the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
Build & Empower: Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse and high-performing team of
security professionals. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous
improvement.
Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC): Establish and maintain a robust GRC
framework. Drive compliance with global security standards, certifications (e.g., SOC 2,
ISO 27001), and regulatory requirements.
Secure by Design: Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate security into
the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) from the ground up, ensuring our
products are secure by default.
Threat Intelligence & Incident Response: Stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape.
Develop and lead a world-class incident response program, ensuring we can detect,
respond to, and recover from security incidents with speed and effectiveness.
Evangelize Security: Act as the primary internal and external evangelist for Aspect's
security program, building a strong security culture and communicating our commitment
to customers and partners.
Who You Are
Visionary Leader: 15+ years of experience in information security, with at least 8+ yearsin a senior leadership role (e.g., Director, VP, CISO) managing large, multi-disciplinary
teams.
Strategic & Business-Oriented: You have a proven track record of developing and
implementing a security strategy that directly enables business growth and innovation.
You can translate complex technical risks into clear business terms for executive leaders.
Hands-on Expert: While this is a strategic role, you have a deep technical background
and a strong understanding of security principles across various domains, including
application, cloud, and corporate security.
Exceptional Communicator: Your ability to communicate, influence, and build
relationships is a core strength. You are comfortable engaging with engineers, legal
counsel, and the C-suite with equal effectiveness.
Resilient & Proactive: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a
strong ability to manage high-pressure situations with calm and clarity.
Bonus Points:
Experience as a public-facing security leader or speaker.
Experience with a global, at-scale technology company.
Extensive experience with cloud security frameworks (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
