This organisation is expanding its Cloud Delivery function and is looking to appoint an experienced Cloud Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex cloud transformation projects. This role would suit a Cloud-focused Project Manager or Delivery Manager with strong experience delivering within structured, largely Waterfall environments, with some exposure to Agile principles.

The team is growing rapidly, with 13 people in Cloud Delivery and multiple new headcount approved. This position will work closely with Product Managers, Transition Managers and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery across public and private cloud environments.

The Role

The Cloud Delivery Manager will take full ownership of delivering cloud transformation, migration and optimisation projects for customers across both the public and private sectors. Typical programmes include:

Azure and hybrid cloud migrations
Cloud right-sizing and optimisation
Well-Architected Reviews (£5k+)
Infrastructure transformation projects ranging from £20k to £40k and major programmes £1m+

The individual will manage 2–3 portfolio projects day-to-day, with the ability to flex during peak periods (up to 7–8 concurrent projects). This role is highly organised, structured, and delivery-focused, ensuring all planning, documentation, governance, resourcing and client communication is handled with precision.

Key Responsibilities

Own full end-to-end delivery of cloud projects, from initiation and planning through to go-live and handover
Manage scope, risks, issues, milestones, budgets and stakeholder expectations
Coordinate internal engineering resources across Infrastructure, Applications and Security
Lead customer meetings, status updates, governance reviews and presentations
Work within a predominantly Waterfall (80%) delivery environment, applying Agile methods where beneficial (20%)
Produce high-quality project documentation including RAID logs, delivery plans, and readiness checkpoints
Ensure operational support, testing and transition requirements are fully completed before deployment
Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams
Support continuous improvement of cloud delivery processes and standards

Skills and Experience Required

Strong background delivering cloud infrastructure projects (public and private cloud)
Ideally Microsoft Azure experience, though AWS will also be considered
Experience from a Managed Service Provider, Professional Services, or Consulting environment preferred
Demonstrable ability to run structured, Waterfall-led programmes with some Agile elements
Excellent organisational skills, able to handle multiple priorities at pace
Confident, clear communicator capable of presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
Comfortable with client-facing delivery and occasional on-site meetings
Ideally qualified: PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP, plus any Agile certifications (desirable)
Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) advantageous
Technical background helpful but not essential
Able to obtain SC Clearance

Working Model

Hybrid working – ideally 1-3 days per week on-site in one of the following locations: Birmingham, London, Manchester, Leeds, Bracknell or Livingston. Some UK travel for client engagements will be required.
