Our client, the TX Health and Human Services Commission is looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer. If you have an exclusive candidate that meets/exceeds these requirements, please let me know and I'll get the forms to you for completion. Here are the details:
JOB TITLE: DevOps Engineer
LOCATION: Austin, TX - Position will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Mon & Wed) required to be onsite. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Job Description/Minimum Requirements:
Skilled DevOps Engineer to design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, enabling scalable, secure, and automated application delivery. This role will focus on building robust CI/CD pipelines, automation, and operational excellence for modern cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud-native architectures leveraging AWS services.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and testing.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system reliability.
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to optimize workflows and enforce best practices.
Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve system scalability.
Minimum Requirements:

Each requirement must be met or exceeded. With "Preferred," there is some flexibility, but less than the number of years for a "Preferred" means less hourly rate and may decrease interest in the candidate.
Also, local, state, or Federal experience should get an interview.

Public-sector experience has become more important. This becomes stronger when the Texas position relates directly to the previous public-sector experience.
