MetroStar is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking GCP Cloud Engineer to join our Federal IT team in Washington, DC. In this hands-on role, you’ll help architect, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and mission-critical cloud solutions in support of a high-impact federal customer.

What you’ll do:

Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
Collaborate with developers, cybersecurity experts, and government partners to streamline deployment workflows.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance to ensure uptime, reliability, and SLA compliance.
Implement federal cloud compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST) and enforce best practices for security and governance.
Contribute to documentation, automation scripts, and internal knowledge sharing to support continuous improvement.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Active Secret clearance (TS preferred).
4+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 2 years working in GCP environments.
Strong hands-on expertise with Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
Experience building infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
Solid understanding of Linux administration, networking, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Experience supporting Agile/Scrum development environments.

SALARY RANGE: $119,000 - $161,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
Performance-based bonuses
Company-paid training and/or certifications
Referral bonuses
